Born to Cruise or BTC is a 39' 10" Solaris Sunstream Sailing Catamaran. She is hull number 7 of 13 made in 1987. BTC was built in England then sailed to the USA and has traveled many miles since. We bought BTC in September of 2002. BTC was a project boat, but it was one of those deals we could just not pass up. We have made many improvements and will do more as time and money allow. If BTC could talk of her past life there would be many tales to tell, we hope to add to those stories and share them with you. We moved aboard Born to Cruise in September of 2006 and spent the winter cruising along the Eastern coast of the US and then spent 3 months cruising in the Bahamas. September of 2007 found us as "dirt dwellers" rebuilding our cruising kitty and doing some major improvements to BTC. October 2008, we were once again living aboard and continued our cruising adventure by cruising the east coast of the US and the Bahamas for the winter. September of 2009 we bought a great house in Florida. After spending 3 months remodeling the house Wayne was offered an opportunity to replenish the "cruising kitty". BTC was docked in New Bern, NC from January 2010 to November 2011 while Wayne was working contract jobs in Cary, NC and Hartsville, SC. Wayne 'retired' again so we are once more cruisers !!! The summer of 2010 has been exciting for us. Brian and Almendra got married July 24th. We are excited to have another daughter! On July 27th, Jill's 55th birthday she got one of the best birthday presents ever, GRANDTWINS !!! Steve and Jenny are the proud parents of John William (Will) 7 pounds 10 ouces and Charlotte Elizabeth 7 pounds 3 ounces. As of November 2011 we are cruisers again !!! We are taking BTC to GA until after the holidays and will then head for the Bahamas.
